Description:
Weekly indoor turbo session of approximately 1 hour's duration, will comprise of a warm up, a workout focusing on different elements of training and a warm down. Different leaders plan and deliver each session, accompanied by a soundtrack. Amount of exercise is determined individually so sessions are suitable for riders of all levels. Turbo set up time from 6.30. Flag drops at 7:00pm sharp (devil)


The antithesis of Katherine's strength and endurance session last week....its Criterium time. A lot of short sharp efforts, maximum duration only 2 minutes, but its high speed cardio vascular and muscle fibre recruitment we are attending to tonight. Sprint and recover, build pace then pounce! In essence, its a way of perfecting pacing and shifting from different levels of effort without dropping to resting each time. Rest will however be available between repetitions of the intervals (sweat). All will be explained, but as usual expect a thorough workout ;-). Preloading with fluids is good, but personally I would recommend NOT eating right beforehand....(giggle)

An attentive group tackled a series of multi-paced intervals with great vigour & good style. Term ends next week with the Christmas session - party on folks :p
