Description:
Half day ride (45-55km / 30-40 miles), with a tea stop, at a riding pace of 18-20km/h (11-13mph). Not likely to be very hilly. Might be a struggle for new or irregular riders in winter months.

UPDATE FRIDAY: Great news, I have just had a lovely offer from Des and his wife Chris to host a tea stop at their house in Longcot. For those who don't know, Chris is a professional caterer and, believe me, you don't want to miss out on her cakes! Please bring £2 cash to cover the costs.

A nice easy flat ride as we approach the end of the season. This is a big loop around the whole of the Vale of White Horse and featuring a fine selection of beautiful villages along the way. We go anticlockwise to give a bit of variety.

Out via Denchworth and West Hanney to Fyfield, then to Hinton Waldrist and Pusey, down to Hatford and Fernham, then a turn back towards home via Longcot and Uffington.

Report:
Good weather and a Bank Holiday weekend brought out a big group - great to see everyone gathering. A special welcome to Anthi riding with us for the first time, and also to Lizzie on her first 2* ride.

We decided to split into two groups so thanks to Richard for managing the second gang.

All went well and it wasn't too long before we got to Longcot and the massive treat of a special tea stop in Des and Chris' garden - big thanks to them!

After that, we enjoyed a wind assisted return to Grove, with some great views of the White Horse.
