Well it turned out to be a fine day following Saturdays gales. An early morning frost and clear skies south of the Thames turned cloudier as we headed north of Lechlade to skirt the edge of the Cotswolds.

A very nice lunch at the Black Cat Cafe, with jacket potatoes, sandwiches, and even a late morning (early afternoon?) English breakfast among our choices.

Post lunch and a traverse on quiet lanes to Alvescot and Black Bourton, before joining the main road to Bampton and Aston, where it was decided to push on, resisting the temptation of cakes at the pottery. A good move really, as it seemed only a short time since lunch, and rewarded us with maximum benefit from the lovely but fading winter sunlight. A big welcome to Camen from CTC Oxford City, on her first ride out with CTC Wantage.

Thanks everyone!
