CTC Oxfordshire Century (100-mile) ride 3*
Steve Swanton
Start Time:
8:00 am
Start Location:
A chance to ride a Century, starting at 8am from the Clover Lane car park in Eynsham (Grid Ref SP432094). We'll be heading northwards across the Cotswolds into Warwickshire and Worcestershire with stops for coffee at Wyatt's Garden Centre, Great Rollright (arr 10:15, 25 miles), lunch at the Cottage of Content, Barton near Bidford-on-Avon (51 miles, arr ~1pm) and tea in Bourton-on-the water (73 miles, arr ~4:15 pm). Expect to be back in Eynsham around 7pm. Steady pace 12-14mph. Expect some hills, with one big climb (~220m) from Broadway to Snowshill after lunch.

As in previous years, riders will be very welcome to join us for just some of the ride, making it part of your own ride if you want to.

N.B: Many thanks to David Smith for adding the Bike Route Toaster course.
12 riders completed the century (8 on the left plus Trevor and Paul from Witney group and Steve and Janet from City). Well done to everyone and particularly to our 7 new "Centurions". All went to plan, with a few unexpected extras thrown in... Full report to come. Thanks everyone for making it a great day.
