Enjoy an easy-paced ride around the local lanes. 25 - 40km. May be hills on some weeks.

This evening we'll head out westwards through the Springline villages of East Challow, Sparsholt and Westcot to Kingston Lisle, returning through the Vale via Goosey and Denchworth, a distance of about 16 miles. We'll use the bridleway from East Challow to Childrey - alternative road route for those on skinny tyres. Lights recommended (sunset 20:04).

It was a lovely evening to be out on the bike. Good to see some familiar faces out again after the long winter.

Sadly Steve J suffered a burst tyre shortly after the start, but fortunately close to home. There were no further incidents, and it was just great to be out riding.

There was something of a westerly breeze as we headed out, turning into a good tail wind on the way back. We saw the 3* group several times including passing them heading in the opposite direction near Childrey.

We all enjoyed the sweeping descent from Kingston Lisle and as we headed back to Goosey the evening light was gorgeous. For those who looked there was a lovely sunset from the railway bridge.

Back in Grove just after 8. Thanks everyone for an enjoyable ride.
