Description:
Monthly 45-55km (30-40 miles) afternoon ride, with a tea stop, at a riding pace of 18-20km/h (11-13mph). Not likely to be very hilly. Might be a struggle for new or irregular riders in winter months.

A sample of the fab cycling and lovely countryside on offer on our doorstep. Not a particularly long route, but a couple of climbs taken at a comfortable pace to suit all, with plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings. We will call off for tea at Letcombe Regis.

OMH, Denchworth, Goosey, Kingston Lisle, Westcot, Sparsholt, Childrey, Letcombe Basset, Letcombe Regis (Tea), Wantage, Lockinge via cycle track, Laines Barn, OMH.
Report:
Well...A really lovely afternoon ! A great group, end to end sunshine and hardly a breeze, making for a good steady pace. There was however a noticeable chill in the air as a sure sign of autumns arrival.

Tea stop was at Letcombe Regis cafe, ideally located for an end of ride cuppa where fading winter light is a factor. Today though this wasn't an issue, and enabled us to sit outside and enjoy the beautifully clear autumn light.

And so onto the homeward leg...Approaching Lockinge it seemed a shame to not take full advantage of the fab weather on offer, so a loop of Ardington village felt like the best option, before the well earned descent passing Laines barn, and the remaining few miles back to Old Mill Hall.
