Description:
Our leisurely and sociable 10-mile club rides are designed specifically with adult newcomers to cycling and youngsters in mind, or those who just want some relaxed and sociable exercise. We cover a distance of about 10 miles at a gentle pace of 8-10 mph, following quiet country lanes and the occasional easy off-road track. We stop regularly to catch our breath, to take in the views and anything that takes our interest along the way.

This week a variant of a regular Tuesday favourite. We'll be heading to Betterton, but by a slightly different route through Wantage, and with the choice of routes back at the end.... We'll join Sustrans route 544 by the Nelson and follow it through to Lockinge and climb gently up to Betterton . After stopping at the top to the hill to take in the views, we'll enjoy the lovely descent into Ardington. After touring the village , we'll climb up to the Lains Barn junction and then enjoy a second long descent passing Lains Barn back into the Vale. A round trip of 10-11 miles.

We should be back before sunset, but lights are recommended.
